Description For Manufacturing Test Engineer

Microsoft's Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) team is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their expanding Cloud Infrastructure division. This role is perfect for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering. As part of the team powering Microsoft's "Intelligent Cloud" mission, you'll work on critical infrastructure supporting over 200 online businesses including Azure, Office 365, Xbox Live, and Teams.

The position offers a hybrid work environment in Taipei, with up to 50% work from home flexibility. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing test strategies, working closely with senior engineers on manufacturing test methodologies, and ensuring quality control in Microsoft's hardware production processes. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hardware testing while working with cutting-edge technology.

The ideal candidate will have a fresh perspective and a growth mindset, with either a Bachelor's degree plus 1+ year of experience or a Master's degree in a relevant field. Responsibilities For Manufacturing Test Engineer

  • Develop understanding of test hardware/software development and assist senior engineers in developing and validating test strategy
  • Assist in architecting manufacturing test methodologies and develop test framework/content
  • Develop understanding of test processes and assist in preventing escapes
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation on processes and procedures
  • Help connect issues from customers/Test Data Centers with factory-level occurrences
  • Assist in developing tests to catch manufacturing defects and ensure test reusability
  • Embody company culture and values

Requirements For Manufacturing Test Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field AND 1+ year experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field
  • Must be graduating between 9/2024~8/2025
