Member of Technical Staff - Data Engineer

Microsoft AI (MS AI) is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help build the next wave of capabilities of their personal AI, Copilot. This role is part of Microsoft's mission to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. The Data Engineering team is responsible for building data platforms that support work in finetuning and deploying the core experience of Copilot, while collaborating with Product Management, Design and AI Research teams.

The ideal candidate will possess technical prowess, a methodical approach to problem-solving, proficiency in data technologies, and a mastery of templating to architect solutions. They should bring positive energy, empathy, and kindness to the team while being highly effective. The position requires working in a hybrid model, with 3 days per week in office at either New York, San Francisco Bay Area, or Seattle locations.

The role involves building secure and performant AI Platform services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and shipping high-quality code. The candidate will work in a fast-paced, design-driven environment, requiring adaptability and strong problem-solving skills. They will be part of Microsoft's cutting-edge AI initiatives, working on some of the most challenging AI questions of our time.
