Description For Member of Technical Staff - Data Infrastructure Engineer

Microsoft AI (MAI) is seeking experienced Data Infrastructure Engineers to join their mission of building personal AI and Copilot systems. This role focuses on building core data pipelines for model fine-tuning and improving human-AI interactions. The position is part of Microsoft's broader vision to make AI accessible to everyone - from consumers to businesses and developers.

As a Data Infrastructure Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge AI technology while being responsible for critical data platform components. Requirements For Member of Technical Staff - Data Infrastructure Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline
  • 6+ years technical engineering experience in running operational tasks for high volume, low latency data systems
  • 6+ years of experience in data operations, ML operations role
  • 4+ years experience managing distributed systems at scale
  • Experience in scripting languages, automation, health check services, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Web technologies like Node.Js/React/PHP
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting high performance production systems
