Description For Member of Technical Staff - Full Stack Engineer

Microsoft AI (MAI) is seeking experienced Full Stack Engineers to join their mission of building personal AI and Copilot systems. This role focuses on developing core data pipelines for model fine-tuning and improving human-AI interactions. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge AI technology while contributing to Microsoft's mission of empowering people and organizations globally.

The position requires working from either New York City or Seattle office locations 3 days per week, offering a competitive salary range of $137,600 - $267,000. You'll be part of the Data Platform team, responsible for critical infrastructure that powers AI experiences across products.

Requirements For Member of Technical Staff - Full Stack Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline with 6+ years technical engineering experience
  • 6+ years of experience in designing, developing, and shipping high scale services
  • 4+ years experience building distributed systems at scale
  • Experience in backend technologies such as .NET, databases, web services and RESTful concepts
  • Experience operating, troubleshooting, and supporting high performance production systems
  • 2+ years experience building scalable services on public cloud infrastructure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
