Description For Member of Technical Staff - Growth iOS Engineer

Microsoft AI is seeking a talented Growth iOS Engineer to help build the next wave of capabilities for their personalized AI assistant, Copilot. The ideal candidate will bring positive energy, empathy, and kindness to the team, while being highly effective in building world-class consumer experiences and products in a fast-paced environment.

The Growth engineering team is responsible for user acquisition, engagement, retention, and feature development that drives rapid growth. They collaborate with Product Management, Design, Data Scientists, and AI Research teams to deliver impactful results.

As a Growth iOS Engineer, you'll be part of the newly formed Microsoft AI (MAI) organization, dedicated to advancing Copilot and other consumer AI products and research. You'll work on Copilot, Bing, Edge, and generative AI research, shaping the future of personal computing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building outstanding consumer-grade mobile applications for iOS
  • Shipping high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
  • Implementing strategies to drive user growth, engagement, and retention
  • Optimizing onboarding flows, improving product features, and delivering scalable infrastructure
  • Working closely with product managers, data scientists, and marketing teams
  • Analyzing user behavior to optimize product features and drive engagement

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, plus 4+ years of technical engineering experience developing mobile applications for iOS platforms. You should have strong skills in Swift, Objective-C, and Java, as well as a deep understanding of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles.

This position is based in Mountain View, California, and requires being in the office 3 days a week. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $117,200 - $229,200 per year, with a higher range of $153,600 - $250,200 for the San Francisco Bay area.
