Description For Member of Technical Staff - iOS Engineer

Microsoft AI is seeking a talented iOS engineer to join their team and help build the next wave of capabilities for their personalized AI assistant, Copilot. The ideal candidate will bring positive energy, empathy, and kindness to the team while being highly effective in building world-class consumer experiences and products in a fast-paced environment.

As part of the Native Engineering team, you'll be responsible for leading and building the core experience of Copilot on iOS, collaborating closely with Product Management, Design, and AI Research teams. This role is part of the newly formed Microsoft AI (MAI) organization, dedicated to advancing Copilot and other consumer AI products and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop consumer-grade applications for iOS platforms
  • Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create amazing user experiences
  • Work in a fast-paced, design-driven product development cycle
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in mobile development and AI

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 4+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, or Java
  • Strong knowledge of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Contributions to open-source projects
  • Experience building iOS applications from scratch
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for learning new technologies and staying current with industry trends
