Microsoft AI (MAI) is seeking a talented MacOS Engineer to join their team working on Copilot, Microsoft's personalized AI assistant. This role is part of a newly formed organization dedicated to advancing consumer AI products and research, including Copilot, Bing, Edge, and generative AI research.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building consumer-grade MacOS applications and developing shared components for Copilot products on Apple platforms. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and data scientists to drive user growth, engagement, and retention.

The position requires strong expertise in MacOS development, with proficiency in Swift and related technologies. You'll be working in a fast-paced, design-driven environment where innovation and technical excellence are highly valued. Responsibilities For Member of Technical Staff - MacOS Engineer

  • Build consumer grade applications for MacOS
  • Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
  • Develop shared components used in different Copilot products built for Apple platforms
  • Work with product managers, data scientists, and marketing to implement strategies
  • Partner with data science teams to analyze user behavior

Requirements For Member of Technical Staff - MacOS Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline
  • 4+ years technical engineering experience developing mobile applications for iOS/MacOS
  • 4+ years of working knowledge of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles
  • Experience with Swift, Objective-C, Java
  • Working knowledge of Desktop/Mobile application architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles
