Description For Member of Technical Staff – Web Foundations Lead

Microsoft AI (MAI) is seeking an experienced Web Foundations Lead to spearhead the development of Copilot web experiences. This role combines technical leadership with people management, focusing on building and leading a team of web engineers while delivering high-quality AI-powered products. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, requiring 3 days per week in office.

The role involves working on cutting-edge AI technology that will impact millions of users worldwide through Microsoft's Copilot platform, available on copilot.microsoft.com, Edge Browser, and Windows OS. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing performant front-end infrastructure, managing a team of engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver world-class AI experiences.

As a leader in this role, you'll need to balance technical expertise in web technologies (particularly TypeScript and React) with strong people management skills. The position requires at least 6 years of technical experience and 3 years of people management experience. You'll be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where user experience is paramount.
