Description For Network Security Service Engineer

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Network Security Service Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's vast array of online services. You'll be responsible for implementing and operating modern cloud and on-premises cybersecurity controls to protect Microsoft's datacenter infrastructure from threats.

Responsibilities For Network Security Service Engineer

  • Proactively identify and investigate potential security issues and patterns
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain security hardware, operating system and software
  • Identify gaps in security policy and administration
  • Maintain standards and drive improvements for customer and partner experience
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support security services
  • Analyze attempted or successful security compromises and create recommendations
  • Analyze potential intrusions and create detections based on available data
  • Embody company culture and values

Requirements For Network Security Service Engineer

Linux
  • Experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, cyber security, anomaly detection
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
  • Strong background in Firewalls or Intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, or Security+ certification (preferred)
  • Experience in infrastructure, cloud or cyber security (preferred)
  • Experience leading a security function (preferred)
