Description For Physical Security Engineer

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Physical Security Engineer to join their team responsible for powering cloud services including CoPilot, Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure. This role involves managing physical security infrastructure across Microsoft's global portfolio of 100+ datacenters, implementing and maintaining access control and video systems, and ensuring security compliance.

The position offers significant visibility in an area of expanding investment for Microsoft, with opportunities for technical and career growth. Responsibilities For Physical Security Engineer

  • Program physical access control and video systems for new datacenters
  • Provide oversight of security systems design for access control and video programming
  • Participate in on-call DRI rotation to support physical security systems
  • Assess data related to security systems health and infrastructure
  • Manage physical security systems lifecycle support and compliance
  • Collaborate with partner engineering, project management, and design teams

Requirements For Physical Security Engineer

  • Experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, cyber security, anomaly detection
  • Experience with Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check
  • Preferred: Lenel Certifications, CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, Security+ certification
