Principal Applied AI Engineer

You'll work with Microsoft's Threat Intelligence Center and Red Team, contributing to a unique knowledge graph that describes the relationship between risk, investigation, and response.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $137,600 - $294,000 (varying by location) and comes with comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, and parental leave. The role is remote-friendly with up to 100% work from home options, requiring 0-25% travel.

Key responsibilities include conducting cutting-edge research in defensive and red teaming AI capabilities, building scalable and secure systems, and collaborating with defenders, threat hunters, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 9+ years of experience with a Master's degree (or equivalent) and significant expertise in shipping large-scale ML/AI services, preferably in the security domain.
