Microsoft is seeking a Principal Design Engineer to join their dynamic Artificial Intelligence System on Chip (AISoC) Silicon team. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive high performance, high bandwidth designs
- Work on IP microarchitecture specification, RTL design, synthesis, and SOC integration
- Interact with architecture, verification, and physical design teams
- Ensure design implementation and verification meet specifications
Required Qualifications:
- 9+ years of related technical engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 8+ years experience in delivering successful IP or ASIC/SOC designs
- Expertise in Digital Design, including microarchitecture specification, RTL coding, and CDC/LINT closure
- 8+ years experience in Synthesis, Timing constraints, PPA trade-offs, and Post-Silicon Debug
- 5+ years experience in Designing Complex Control Logic or Fabric/Network On Chip or Networking ASICs
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years technical engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Record of successful ASIC tape outs in deep sub-micron technologies
- Experience in Leading and/or Managing Small Teams
- Expertise in various micro-architecture areas (Complex Control Paths, Memory hierarchies, AXI)
- Python/Perl scripting skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
