Principal Product & Test Engineer

Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is seeking a Principal Product & Test Engineer to join their Hardware, Infrastructure Management, and Fundamentals Engineering (HIFE) team. This role is crucial in defining and delivering operational measures of success for hardware manufacturing, improving planning processes, quality, delivery, scale, and sustainability related to Microsoft cloud hardware.

The ideal candidate will work in the dynamic Microsoft Silicon Manufacturing Packaging Engineering team (SMPE), focusing on semiconductor IC development, manufacturing, fabrication, testing, and packaging. Key responsibilities include:

1. Overseeing the development and manufacturing of large-scale, high-performance SoCs/chips
2. Developing Integrated Circuits from pre-silicon to new product introduction
3. Specializing in ATE test program development
4. Driving pre-Si readiness for power, performance, thermal, and power delivery tests
5. Managing product manufacturing fuse requirements and data flow
6. Leading external vendors and cross-functional teams

The role requires extensive experience in product development, test engineering, and a strong background in electrical engineering or device physics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in taking products from definition to launch, interfacing with customers, and driving sample delivery milestones across the product lifecycle.
