Responsibilities For Principal Quantum Hardware Engineer

  • Lead development and execution of milestone roadmaps toward key validation points
  • Provide technical leadership on device development and integrated system demonstrations
  • Identify and engage partners to deliver key components
  • Guide cross-team collaboration and recruit experts
  • Partner with architecture, software, fabrication, and systems teams
  • Maintain expert knowledge and influence product/business needs
  • Produce consistent documentation of work

Requirements For Principal Quantum Hardware Engineer

  • Doctorate in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline AND 3+ years industry experience (or equivalent combinations)
  • Experience with design and fabrication of semiconductor structures and chips
  • Significant lab experience with qubit technologies and cryogenic systems
  • Proven history of managing technology development from R&D to production
  • Must be willing to travel 25-50% domestically and internationally
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Must provide proof of citizenship or permanent residency
