As a Principal Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving security initiatives across Microsoft's user-facing services, with a particular focus on AI platforms and implementations. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $161,600 to $314,400 (depending on location), along with comprehensive benefits including industry-leading healthcare, educational resources, and parental leave. The role offers the flexibility of up to 100% remote work, with some travel (0-25%) required.

Responsibilities For Principal Security Engineer
- Drive understanding and decision making around Security Incidents and the Post Incident Review (PIR) Process
- Drive Secure Engineering policies, practices, and tooling across user-facing services, including AI platforms
- Guide Engineering Teams on security best practices
- Collaborate with teams to define state of the art for detection, prevention, and elimination of security risks
- Identify emerging security problems and build solutions, often utilizing AI
- Mentor others on building secure platforms and systems
- Plan and manage security and privacy programs and track metrics
- Create and present plans for driving security and privacy objectives
- Represent Microsoft in customer briefings and security conferences
Requirements For Principal Security Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 12+ years technical engineering experience
- Experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years
