Principal Software Engineer - CTJ - Poly

Inside the AI Platform air-gapped team, you will have the opportunity to deliver transformational AI capabilities to Microsoft's air-gapped clouds for use in critical customer missions.

As a Principal Software Engineer on our team, you will participate in developing innovative solutions across AI Platform. You will write concise and clean code with unit tests, design and build scalable, high-performance services that are highly reliable, and work across teams in a large organization. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing new features, investigating and fixing production issues, and participating in on-call rotations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and using automation to deploy and manage complex cloud services
• Defining and developing standardized, scalable solutions to guarantee quality
• Driving initiatives to gather and examine data to enhance product development
• Collaborating with teams and being passionate about customer success

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of technical engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software or services
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with SCI access
• U.S. citizenship

Preferred qualifications include experience with Kubernetes, cloud services, and improving service operations. The role offers a competitive salary range of $137,600 - $267,000 per year, with higher ranges for specific locations like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.
