Description For Security Operations Engineering

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to join their team in Atlanta, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement offering up to 50% work from home. This role is crucial in managing and delivering physical security infrastructure for Microsoft's vast network of cloud services, including CoPilot, Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

The position involves managing physical security systems across multiple locations, participating in on-call DRI rotation, and ensuring systems align with baseline standards. You'll be working with a global infrastructure of over 100 datacenters and 1 million servers, serving more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses worldwide.

Key responsibilities include programming access control and video systems for new datacenters, system health monitoring, and collaboration with various teams to improve security operations. Responsibilities For Security Operations Engineering

  • Program physical access control and video systems for new datacenters

Requirements For Security Operations Engineering

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years
  • Preferred: Lenel Certifications, CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, and/or Security+ certification
