Description For Security Presales Engineer

Microsoft Security is seeking a passionate and experienced Security Technical Specialist to join their Solution Specialist Unit team. This role combines technical expertise in cybersecurity with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping customers modernize their security architecture and posture. The position offers a hybrid work environment with up to 75% remote work capability.

The ideal candidate will serve as a senior technical sales leader and trusted customer advisor, working with cutting-edge security concepts such as CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, ITDR, and technologies like XDR - Microsoft M365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, and SIEM - Sentinel. You'll be responsible for leading teams of internal, partner, and consulting resources to map Microsoft solutions to customer security challenges.

Microsoft invests over $4 billion annually in security research and development and maintains a global network of security experts. The role offers unique opportunities to work with AI-based Security innovations and contribute to Microsoft's mission of making the world a safer place. You'll be part of a high-performing, fast-paced sales team, engaging directly with customers to drive technical wins and exceed revenue targets.

The position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, fluency in French and English, and extensive knowledge of cloud security architectures and frameworks. You'll spend time planning, preparing technical presentations, conducting demos and POCs, and staying current with industry trends. The role also involves evangelizing Microsoft Security through speaking engagements, content creation, and thought leadership activities.

Responsibilities For Security Presales Engineer

  • Primary technical point of contact for potential customers during sales process
  • Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and architecture design sessions
  • Develop strategies to improve client's security posture
  • Drive technical wins for Microsoft Security and adjacent technologies
  • Work with XDR, Microsoft M365 Defender, Defender for Cloud and Sentinel
  • Engage with partners in sell-with scenarios
  • Evangelize and represent Microsoft Security at internal and external events
  • Create technical content including articles, webinars, and white papers

Requirements For Security Presales Engineer

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Fluent in French (A) and Business and Technical English (B1+)
  • Experience with SIEM systems, Web Application Firewalls, and Secure Web Gateways
  • Knowledge of cloud security technologies and Zero Trust architecture
  • Experience with cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Microsoft 365 Security Administration or Azure Security certification preferred
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, IAAP preferred
