Description For SECURITY SERVICE ENGINEER II

Microsoft Security is seeking a Security Service Engineer II to join their Endpoint Protection Services team within the CISO organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the security of Microsoft's devices and services through innovative solutions and robust risk frameworks. The position involves working with endpoint protection management, focusing on keeping systems vulnerability-free and implementing security controls. You'll collaborate with Microsoft Product Groups, project managers, and IT service teams to develop, automate, and deploy complex security controls.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure cloud services, data analytics, and security implementations. You'll be working in an Agile/DevOps environment, building and maintaining services that protect Microsoft's vast digital infrastructure. The role requires strong technical skills in areas like Azure Synapse Analytics, PowerShell, Python, and SQL, combined with a deep understanding of security concepts.

Responsibilities For SECURITY SERVICE ENGINEER II

  • Leverage technical expertise in large scale distributed systems infrastructure
  • Work on end-to-end ETL data integration process and CI/CD pipelines for security telemetry
  • Author functional and technical documentation
  • Partner with engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver technical projects
  • Participate in on-call rotations to resolve live site incidents

Requirements For SECURITY SERVICE ENGINEER II

Python
  • 6+ years of experience in design and development of systems using Azure/Cloud services
  • Experience developing and managing scalable cloud services using Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Hands on experience with building data queries, analytics with SQL Server and Kusto
  • Experience in automating and developing with PowerShell, Python, Pyspark/Jupyter notebooks
  • Good understanding of information security concepts and endpoint security
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
