Microsoft's Surface Imaging AI team is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to drive innovation in camera understanding, imaging algorithms, and ISP technologies. The position involves developing and deploying machine learning models for surface imaging technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing end-to-end machine learning lifecycles using modern MLOps practices. You'll be working in a hybrid environment (up to 50% work from home) with some travel requirements (0-25%).

- Design, build, and maintain advanced machine learning models for products
- Oversee the machine learning lifecycle with state-of-the-art MLOps methodologies

- Manage end-to-end machine learning lifecycle
Requirements For Senior AI Engineer
- Bachelor's OR Masters OR Doctorate degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in camera understanding, imaging algorithms, and ISP
- Understanding of fundamentals of ML models and optimizations
- Experience with cloud services, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
- Programming skills in Python, C++ and familiarity with AI frameworks
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
- Experience with embedded AI such as NPU (preferred)
- Strong software development skills
