Description For Senior Cloud Network Engineer

The Azure Edge team is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design and build state-of-the-art services for network security and reliability. This team manages one of the world's largest network infrastructures, connecting over 200 Edge sites and 60+ Microsoft Azure regions globally.

The role involves working on Azure Edge Datacenters, developing and deploying Azure applications and services. With a mission to reach every person within 25ms, the team continuously innovates to build the world's most reliable, performant, and secure network infrastructure.

As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting live site issues and implementing solutions with minimal customer disruption
  • Testing and validating network devices
  • Providing data center instructions for hardware maintenance
  • Participating in postmortem and root-cause analysis
  • Developing new ideas for systems and tools
  • Mentoring other engineers while seeking feedback for personal growth

Requirements For Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Kubernetes
  • 7+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 4+ years experience OR Master's with 3+ years experience OR Doctorate
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Experience with live site accountability for a network
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting and root cause analysis
