Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Microsoft's Azure WAN Team is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join their growing team. This role combines networking expertise with software development fundamentals, focusing on the global backbone network and Azure Networking infrastructure. The position involves designing, developing, and building networking and automation components for the Wide Area Network, overseeing projects from initial design through development and buildout.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network design, development, and automation, with particular expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and Segment Routing. They should be proficient in software development using Python, YAML, or C#, and have experience working in cloud provider or large enterprise environments.

This is a high-visibility position within a rapidly growing area of Microsoft Azure, offering excellent opportunities for technical and career advancement. The role allows for up to 100% work from home with 0-25% travel requirements. The position involves collaborating with multiple teams, leading design reviews, and handling complex live site issues.
