Senior Critical Infrastructure Network Engineer

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Senior Critical Infrastructure Network Engineer to play a key role in delivering Critical Environments infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

The role involves:

• Performing network design and operations to enhance the availability and scalability of the CE Network
• Participating in on-call DRI rotation for support
• Managing complex incidents and problem resolution for network and security systems

Key responsibilities include:

1. Network Design and Implementation:

   • Lead technical analysis and architecture design of network plans
   • Install, upgrade, and maintain network hardware and software, leveraging automation

2. Maintaining and Operating Networks:

   • Support Network Infrastructure services through on-call rotation
   • Oversee complex infrastructure projects and incident management
   • Handle Layer 3 technologies and apply knowledge of enterprise networking solutions

3. Supporting People:

   • Collaborate with IT staff and business personnel
   • Provide direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven years of experience in network design, development, and automation
• Programming skills in Python, Ansible, and CI/CD pipeline
• Experience with network authentication systems and industrial control systems
• Industry certifications such as CCNP or CCIE Route & Switch
