This role is crucial in protecting Microsoft's vast infrastructure of over 100 datacenters and 1 million servers that support services for more than 1 billion customers worldwide. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on cybersecurity for critical infrastructure, implementing and operating modern cloud and on-premises security controls. Responsibilities For Senior Cyber Security Engineer - Networking
- Proactively identify and investigate potential security issues and patterns
- Install, upgrade, and maintain security hardware, operating system and software
- Identify gaps in security policy and administration
- Maintain standards and drive improvements for customer and partner experience
- Participate in on-call rotation to support security services
- Analyze attempted or successful security compromises and implement response plans
- Create detections based on Indicators of Compromise and Tools Tactics Procedures
Requirements For Senior Cyber Security Engineer - Networking
- 4+ years of experience in cyber security, anomaly detection, SOC detection, threat analytics, SIEM, Network or Cloud security, and operations incident response OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
- Strong background in Firewalls or Intrusion detection or prevention systems
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
- Preferred: CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, PCCSE, PCNSE, PCSAE, CCNP Security, CCIE Security and/or Security+ certification
- Experience with industrial control systems is preferred (not mandatory)
