Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) Engineer to join their Datacenter Monitoring and Controls Engineering (DMCE) group. The position offers a competitive salary range of $117,200 - $229,200 (higher in SF and NYC areas) and allows for up to 100% remote work. The role can be based in multiple hub locations including Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX, or Phoenix, AZ.
As a Senior EPMS Engineer, you'll be responsible for the hardware configuration, communication setup, and testing of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems in Microsoft's datacenters. This includes working with new hardware installations, containerized datacenters, and facility modifications. You'll create and update EPMS software configurations, databases, graphics, and alarm systems.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in EPMS, HMI Development, or related fields, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Strong knowledge of SCADA implementations, communication protocols (Modbus, IEC61850, OPC UA), and mission-critical facility networking is essential.
