Description For Senior Hardware Verification Engineer

Microsoft is seeking a Senior Hardware Verification Engineer to join their Azure team, focusing on next-generation networking devices. The role involves working on Azure Boost and developing advanced hardware/software acceleration solutions for some of the world's largest datacenter networks. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in cloud computing and AI/ML workloads.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying complex logic designs, implementing UVM-based verification environments, and ensuring cloud-scale quality through rigorous testing. You'll collaborate with software teams on driver development and applications, while managing the entire product lifecycle from delivery to production support.

Responsibilities For Senior Hardware Verification Engineer

  • Own the verification of complicated logic designs
  • Define and implement efficient UVM-based verification environments
  • Test and debug designs in simulation on hardware-based test platforms and large test clusters
  • Implement coverage metrics
  • Work with software teams on development of drivers and applications
  • Deliver and deploy products while considering engineering constraints
  • Support products through their lifetime in cloud production environments

Requirements For Senior Hardware Verification Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with verification of hardware accelerators with System Verilog and UVM
  • Extended experience in micro-architecture, logic design and/or verification of ASIC/FPGA designs
  • Ability to articulate end goals and trade-offs for undefined engineering challenges
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years
