Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) division is seeking a Senior Regional Field Operations Construction Program Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in managing the infrastructure that powers Microsoft's global cloud services, including Azure, Office 365, Xbox, and more.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work with a massive infrastructure portfolio comprising over 100 datacenters and 1 million servers worldwide, serving more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses across 90+ countries. The role combines technical expertise with project management, focusing on datacenter construction, operations, and sustainability initiatives.
As a Senior Regional Field Operations Construction Program Manager, you'll collaborate with the Director of Field Operations, Datacenter Project Managers, and Critical Environment Operations Managers to implement consistent programs across operations and logistics verticals. You'll be responsible for leading a team of Metro Build Engineers, managing construction projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of 24/7/365 mission-critical datacenters.
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in IT equipment support or related technology, with preferred qualifications including a degree in Engineering and professional certifications. You'll be working in a remote capacity, with 25-50% travel required to oversee various projects and sites.

Responsibilities For Senior Regional Field Operations Construction Program Manager
- Lead and recruit a team of Metro Build Engineers
- Form strategy for execution of renovation, retrofit and construction projects
- Lead risk mitigation and change management efforts
- Manage construction projects within operational data center sites
- Coordinate installation of core network infrastructures
- Monitor and report key milestones and deliverables
- Maintain culture of professionalism and continuous improvement
- Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance
Requirements For Senior Regional Field Operations Construction Program Manager
- High School Qualification or equivalent AND 6+ years experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
- Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering preferred
- Experience in managing large-scale and complex projects/programs
- Strong experience with building cooling and mechanical systems
- Understanding of electrical theory and critical electrical equipment
- Knowledge of construction techniques and documentation
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certifications preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check
