This role is crucial in building large-scale microservices that process terabytes of data daily to protect Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer
- Design, develop and maintain high scale services that form the backbone of Security Monitoring
- Execute security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent attacks
- Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security
- Collaborate with partners to design and build features for protecting Microsoft products and services
- Work in a culture of continuous learning, adaptation, reflection, and growth
- Mentoring peers to ensure engineering best practices
- Championing a 'can do' attitude across the org
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM)
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience programming in C++/C# or Python or Scala or similar technologies
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years
- 2+ years of experience in applying AI/ML techniques to cybersecurity challenges (preferred)
