This role is crucial in building large-scale microservices that process terabytes of data daily to protect and secure Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities For Senior Security Operations Engineer
- Design, develop and maintain high scale services that form the backbone of Security Monitoring
- Execute security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal or external attacks
- Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security
- Collaborate with partners to design and build features for protecting Microsoft products and services
- Work in a culture of continuous learning, adaptation, reflection, and growth
- Mentoring peers to ensure engineering best practices and high-quality code
Requirements For Senior Security Operations Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, cyber security, anomaly detection, SOC detection, threat analytics, SIEM, IT, and operations incident response
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience programming in C++/C# or Python or Scala or similar technologies
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years thereafter
