This role is crucial in powering Microsoft's "Intelligent Cloud" mission and supports over 200 online businesses including Azure, Office 365, and Xbox Live.

The position offers a competitive base salary range of $117,200 - $229,200 and requires 7+ years of technical engineering experience or equivalent educational background. As a senior engineer, you'll be responsible for post-silicon validation, focusing on electrical/analog and power/performance aspects of SoC development.

Key responsibilities include owning post-silicon validation, implementing debug tools, providing technical mentorship, and developing comprehensive validation strategies. You'll work with state-of-the-art technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams of architects, designers, and verification engineers.

Responsibilities For Senior SoC Hardware (Analog/Power) Validation Engineer

  • Own post-silicon validation of electrical/analog or power/performance
  • Define and implement silicon debug tools and capabilities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
  • Develop validation strategy, requirements, environments, tools, and methodologies
  • Execute content in post-silicon, triage and debug failures
  • Collaborate with architects, logic designers, and verification engineers
  • Apply experience towards pre-silicon verification plans, tests, and debug

Requirements For Senior SoC Hardware (Analog/Power) Validation Engineer

Python
  • 7+ years of technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's degree with 4+ years experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years experience OR Doctorate degree
  • Understanding of SoC power delivery, subsystem, and platform level functionality
  • Experience with Python or C/C++
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Understanding of Computer Architecture and CPU/SoC validation principles
  • Experience with hardware/software debug efforts
  • Knowledge of board level schematics
  • Understanding of system level software and firmware
