Microsoft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Cloud+Artificial Intelligence (AI) Silver Team. This role involves deploying and operating services within an Air-Gapped environment. You'll work with engineers to enable Azure services for internal and external customers in highly secured and regulated industries. The systems and software you build must meet security policy and assurance requirements for both public and private sector customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply debugging tools, examine logs, and telemetry to verify assumptions and solve issues proactively and reactively.
- Maintain live service operations on a rotational, on-call basis.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), guiding other engineers and monitoring system/product/service.
- Drive efforts to integrate instrumentation for gathering telemetry data on system behavior.
- Collect, classify, and analyze data on various metrics to refine products through data analytics.
- Build and enhance software developer tools to support other programs and applications.
- Define and develop standardized, repeatable, scalable solutions to guarantee quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (or equivalent experience).
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- U.S. citizenship (verified via valid passport or other approved documents).
