Senior Software Engineer

Microsoft's Azure Developer Division team at Microsoft India Development Center (IDC) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and ship Azure services targeted at developers. The role focuses on working with strategic ISV partners to deliver services that expand access to open source and 3rd party technologies in the Azure cloud. You'll build deep domain expertise in various cloud technologies including AKS, Networking, Monitoring, Storage and others.

As a senior engineer, you'll lead the design and implementation of significant service components, working hands-on with both control and data plane development. The role involves prototyping new features, developing Azure portal extensions, handling production issues, and ensuring security compliance. You'll be building systems with a focus on scalability, reliability and enterprise-grade security.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software development experience and strong technical design skills. Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and open source development is highly valued. You'll work in a hybrid environment with up to 50% work from home flexibility, collaborating with global teams.
