Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer for their Azure Stack HCI team in Sydney. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer service excellence, focusing on troubleshooting complex Azure and Windows Server environments. Working within a flexible hybrid model, you'll be part of a 17,000-strong global team dedicated to accelerating customer success.

Responsibilities For Senior Technical Support Engineer - Azure Local (Stack HCI)

  • Own, investigate, and solve complex customer technical issues
  • Act as an advisor to customers, collaborating within and across teams
  • Lead in building communities with peer delivery roles
  • Share knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching and mentoring
  • Engage with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams to investigate product defects
  • Help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools
  • Drive Microsoft product improvements

Requirements For Senior Technical Support Engineer - Azure Local (Stack HCI)

  • 5+ years technical support, technical consulting, or IT experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years experience
  • Experience with Azure Stack HCI and Windows Admin Center
  • Knowledge of Hyper-V management and VM deployment
  • Experience with clustering and Resilient Storage technology
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
  • Network tracing and analysis skills
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools (procmon, netmon, perfmon)
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Australian citizenship required
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check
