This role focuses on developing environments and test cases to verify SOC designs, working with cross-discipline teams including systems, firmware, architecture, design, validation, and product engineering. The position requires expertise in pre-silicon verification, mentoring capabilities, and strong technical skills in verification principles and tools. Microsoft builds custom silicon for diverse systems from Xbox gaming consoles to Azure cloud servers and AR devices. - Creation of verification environments and tests
- Pre-silicon verification at block, sub-system, and SoC levels
- Functional, stress, performance and application-level use cases testing
- SoC level Coverage
Requirements For Senior Verification Engineer
- 12+ years experience in executing pre-silicon verification of IPs/Sub systems/SoCs
- Experience in mentoring individual engineers
- Working with multiple stakeholders to execute functional verification
- In depth knowledge of verification principles, testbenches, stimulus generation
- Experience with UVM and SoC level Test Benches
- Solid understanding of silicon chip and computer architecture
- Experience writing tests in C/C++, System Verilog and UVM
- Scripting language such as Python, Ruby, or Perl
- Excellent communication skills
