Microsoft's Silicon team is seeking a Silicon Validation Engineer to join their Artificial Intelligence (AI) Silicon Engineering team. This role involves working on cutting-edge technology, building custom silicon for diverse systems ranging from Xbox to Azure cloud servers. The position focuses on Pre-Silicon RTL Verification, Post-Silicon Validation, debug, and tools development.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality designs for complex and high-performance functions. You'll work with cross-functional teams on key components of functional validation for ASIC and FPGA systems, develop test plans, and create infrastructure for comprehensive validation. Responsibilities For Silicon Validation Engineer

  • Work on functional validation of complex ASIC SOC and FPGA SOC
  • Perform Pre-Silicon SoC verification, Post-Silicon/FPGA validation
  • Work with cross-functional teams for project execution
  • Develop test plans, C tests and infrastructure for functional validation
  • Debug failures, create stress and performance scenarios
  • Innovate to improve validation efficiency through methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrate Microsoft core values

Requirements For Silicon Validation Engineer

Python
  • 5+ years of related technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's degree in EE/CE/CS with 2+ years experience OR Master's degree with 1+ year experience
  • 2+ years of experience in pre-silicon and/or post-silicon validation with delivering high performance CPU, Vector processors and GPUs
  • Good programming skills in C/C++, System Verilog, Assembly, Python
  • Good communication skills, team player, self-driven and problem solving ability
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Must meet export control regulations requirements
