Microsoft is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their Skype for Consumer team. This role focuses on managing and improving the Linux infrastructure in Microsoft Azure cloud, with emphasis on service reliability, efficiency, security, and compliance. Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer 2
- Managing and automating Skype for Consumer Linux infrastructure in Microsoft Azure cloud
- Participate in on-call rotations and resolve service issues
- Focus on stakeholders' needs through a data driven approach
- Collaborate with partner teams to meet engineering goals
- Implement improvements in services' reliability, efficiency, security and compliance
Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer 2
- Proficiency in Python/C#/JavaScript
- Experience with Linux systems internals and administration
- Solid problem solving and debugging skills
- Good communications skills
- Pass Microsoft Cloud background check
- BS in computer science or equivalent technical experience (preferred)
- Experience with configuration management tools (preferred)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Azure (preferred)
- Experience with cloud architecture and site reliability principles (preferred)
- Solid understanding of relational databases (preferred)
