Description For Site Reliability Engineer II

Microsoft Security is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join their Enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role focuses on identity and Entra ID tenant administration, including tenant management at scale, empowering the business, and protecting Microsoft. The position requires deep experience with automation, configuration management, and security orchestration techniques, embracing a site reliability engineering mindset.

Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer II

  • Help steer identity-centric digital transformation and support hundreds of thousands of employees
  • Demonstrate end-to-end expertise in distributed systems design
  • Design solutions addressing identified control issues in security policy and standards
  • Design, develop, and implement automation of identity and access management related tasks
  • Research and maintain deep industry knowledge
  • Drive efforts to identify and recommend optimal configurations of cloud technology solutions
  • Develop, test, and implement changes to optimize code and improve platforms
  • Respond to incidents during regular on-call rotations

Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer II

  • 4+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years direct experience managing Entra ID (AzureAD)
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Kusto Query Language (KQL) expertise
  • Direct experience deploying EntraID solutions at scale through automation
  • Outstanding communications capabilities
