Software Engineer II

Microsoft's Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their innovative team working on critical infrastructure and sustainability initiatives. This role is based in Redmond, WA, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing up to 50% work from home.

The position focuses on building the Supply Chain Sustainability platform (Tierra), a crucial component in Microsoft's 2030 sustainability goals of becoming carbon negative, water positive, and zero waste. The role sits within CSCP, which manages infrastructure for over 200 online businesses including Azure, Office 365, Xbox Live, and Bing, supporting more than 1 billion customers across 90+ countries.

As a Software Engineer II, you'll be responsible for pushing systems architecture forward and innovating in areas of customer experience, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and process automation. The role requires strong technical expertise in distributed systems and cloud environments, with hands-on experience in languages like C#, JavaScript, Python, or Java.
