Join Microsoft's Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) organization, where you'll be part of a team delivering critical updates to over a billion Windows devices worldwide. As a Software Engineer II in the Customer Focused Engineering team, you'll work on developing and implementing Known Issue Rollbacks and Containment strategies. The role involves collaborating with global teams across IDC, Ireland, and Redmond to ensure Windows users remain protected and productive. You'll be responsible for security updates, platform reliability improvements, and building new features for the Windows ecosystem. Responsibilities For Software Engineer II

  • Develop features to support enterprise and security scenarios in Windows
  • Reproducing, debugging and fixing customer-reported problems
  • Crafting high-quality, bug-free fixes with minimum application compatibility risk
  • Adding new features in Windows
  • Prioritizing work and delivering fixes to meet deadlines
  • Collaborating with escalation engineers and other partner teams
  • Finding ways to improve products, tools, and processes
  • Mentoring junior engineers in the team

Requirements For Software Engineer II

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • Ability to understand unfamiliar code bases, and debug server-side applications
  • Experience in working with Windows system level programming
  • Proven design and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with agile/scrum methodologies
