Microsoft's E+P team is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their critical cloud services environment. This role is at the heart of Microsoft's cloud-first strategy, working with the largest enterprise and government customers to deliver secure, reliable communication and collaboration solutions.

As a Service Engineer II, you'll be part of a talented team focused on resolving critical problems in highly secure environments. The position requires strong technical expertise, judgment, and communication skills to manage various tasks during crises. You'll create mitigation strategies and resolve issues by collaborating with relevant teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer II - CTJ - Poly

  • Respond to incidents during regular on-call rotations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with major customer or business impact
  • Implement reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions across teams
  • Create, monitor, and take action on telemetry data
  • Develop scripts and automation for monitoring and incident response
  • Contribute to design documents and maintain documentation
  • Coordinate with product teams, owners, leadership, and other engineering teams

Requirements For Software Engineer II - CTJ - Poly

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to SCI based on SSBI with Polygraph
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check
