Software Engineer II

Microsoft Digital (MSD) is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Cloud Governance team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role focuses on designing and implementing modern engineering systems that enhance productivity and accelerate delivery in a digital enterprise. The position offers an opportunity to work on complex challenges in software development at scale while maintaining high quality standards.

As part of MSD, you'll be working on powering, protecting, and transforming the employee experience at Microsoft worldwide. The team is responsible for innovating and delivering Microsoft's employee experience, human resources, corporate and legal affairs, and global real estate products, while also managing Microsoft's internal network and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in technical engineering with strong expertise in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript. You'll be responsible for all stages of the development cycle, from ideation to implementation, ensuring solutions are stable and healthy in the production environment. The role requires strong computer science fundamentals and experience with cloud services.
