The Windows Connected Experiences team at Microsoft is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their innovative team focused on breaking new ground in cross-device experiences. This role is central to developing Phone Link and other connected experiences that enable seamless integration between Windows PCs and mobile devices (Android and iOS).

The position involves working on critical areas of device pairing, cross-device communication, protocol design, security, authentication, and integration with cloud services. Responsibilities For Software Engineer II - The Windows Connected Experiences Team

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements
  • Drive identification of dependencies and development of design documents
  • Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive project plans and work items
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers
  • Monitor system/product/service and handle degradation issues
  • Adapt to new trends and technical solutions to improve product performance

Requirements For Software Engineer II - The Windows Connected Experiences Team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience building mobile applications
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years
  • Experience with Mobile Operating Systems (iOS highly desirable)
  • Full-Stack Development proficiency
  • Analytical skills with systematic approach to software design
  • Experience with application security assessment
