Microsoft is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Windows 365 Link Operating System team, a groundbreaking initiative within the Windows Cloud Experiences organization. This role focuses on developing a minimalist version of Windows designed for Cloud PC access. The team is building an innovative operating system that's adminless, passwordless, and optimized for cloud computing.

As a Software Engineer II, you'll work with cutting-edge technology in cloud/client computing and Web UI development. The position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Windows 365 Link, a new product that simplifies IT administration and enhances cloud computing accessibility. You'll collaborate with Product Management and Design teams to solve customer problems through prototyping and implementation.

The role combines technical expertise in operating system development with cloud technology, requiring skills in C++, TypeScript, and web technologies. Requirements For Software Engineer II- Windows 365 Link Operating System team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience developing Operating System components OR Windows applications
  • 1+ years of experience writing large-scale client applications
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Experience with C++
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and work within extensive code bases
  • Web development using TypeScript, HTML, CSS and Web Components
  • Experience analyzing tracing and data to optimize software performance
