Software Engineer: Microsoft AI Development Acceleration Program

Microsoft is launching a groundbreaking program to develop the next generation of leaders in AI. Over two years, participants will work in interdisciplinary project teams to provide AI as a service to engineering teams across Microsoft and solve exciting and challenging problems. The program offers mentorship, exposure to leaders, and access to AI applied scientists, researchers, and engineers across the company. After completion, participants can join one of the sponsoring product teams to accelerate their careers at Microsoft.

This role is part of Microsoft's initiative to transform Azure into a global AI supercomputer, enabling responsible development of cutting-edge foundational AI, including large language models (LLMs). These models are designed to empower people to harness world knowledge, revolutionize interactions with technology, and enhance user experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing AI solutions for Microsoft's products and services
• Testing and reviewing new code and data pipelines
• Building API infrastructure, endpoints, and data pipelines
• Developing reporting and monitoring mechanisms
• Analyzing industry trends and their potential impact
• Developing patterns, standards, and guidelines for product architecture
• Participating in project design reviews
• Collaborating with partner teams and product managers
• Patenting and publishing relevant IP and scientific research

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, with experience in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Experience in database systems, distributed systems, cloud environments, and machine learning is a plus. Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for AI solutions are essential.
