Microsoft's Tech for Social Impact (TSI) team is seeking a passionate Staff Software Engineer to join their nonprofit solutions innovation team. TSI, launched in 2017, serves over 400,000 nonprofits and UN agencies worldwide, balancing social impact with sustainable business practices. The role involves developing solutions using the Common Data Model for Nonprofits, leveraging Microsoft Business Applications, Azure, and Modern Work platforms.

The position requires collaboration with Sales, Partner, and cross-organizational teams to support customer and partner implementation processes. The ideal candidate will need strong technical expertise in Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit (MC4N) technology, understanding of sales and implementation processes, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Working in a hybrid environment with up to 50% work from home flexibility, this role involves 0-25% travel. The position focuses on developing innovative solutions that accelerate digital transformation across the global nonprofit sector. Success in this role demands excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with a commitment to Microsoft's culture and values.

Responsibilities For Software Engineering IC4

  • Engage with nonprofit business stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements
  • Design and propose technical solutions that align with Microsoft standards and business objectives
  • Develop, implement, and deploy nonprofit solutions using .NET and Azure technologies
  • Ensure all solutions meet compliance requirements and are delivered to production environments smoothly
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, partner, and technical teams
  • Provide support for existing customers/solutions during business hours only
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of solution security and quality
  • Create and maintain documentation related to solutions and best practices
