Description For Sr. Test Engineer

Microsoft's Silicon Engineering team is at the forefront of High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence, developing custom silicon solutions like Cobalt and Maia for Azure Data Center and AI. This senior role focuses on advanced packaging technology and test engineering for complex silicon solutions. The position requires expertise in HPC/AI/GPU/CPU ATE Test Content, both Digital and Analog, with responsibilities spanning failure analysis, fault isolation, and silicon characterization.

The ideal candidate will work with cross-disciplinary teams to develop innovative test solutions for Test Chips, managing both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation. The role demands strong technical expertise in high-speed digital and mixed signal test engineering, particularly with the 93K SMT8 Advantest platform. You'll be responsible for developing test methodologies, managing ATE test hardware/software, and ensuring product quality through comprehensive testing and analysis.

Responsibilities For Sr. Test Engineer

  • Engage with cross-disciplinary staff to design innovative product solutions for Test Chips
  • Develop test methodology, ATE test methods characterization, and production test programs
  • Test vector generation and conversion, test program validation pre-silicon and post silicon
  • Ownership of wafer and package level ATE test hardware and software development
  • Analyze test data to identify program or silicon issues
  • Correlate test solution to lab/OSAT/customer platform
  • Work with internal teams and third-party suppliers

Requirements For Sr. Test Engineer

Python
  • 10+ years of experience in High-Speed Digital and Mixed signal Test Engineering, preferably in 93K SMT8 Advantest platform
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Knowledge of high-speed serial IO test and characterization
  • Understanding of DFT and DFM
  • Experience with ATE hardware development
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PERL, and Tcl/Tk
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
