Description For Systems Engineer II

In Mixed Reality, people—not devices—are at the center of everything we do. Our tech moves beyond screens and pixels, creating a new reality aimed at bringing us closer together—whether that's scientists "meeting" on the surface of a virtual Mars or some yet undreamt-of possibility. To get there, we're incorporating diverse groundbreaking technologies from sensors, computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, AI, and more. We're a growing team of talented engineers and artists putting technology on a human path across Holographic devices.

The Mixed Reality Systems Engineering team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated System Engineer II with experience across silicon, firmware, embedded devices, computer vision, human perception, and display technologies to help us evolve our products.

As a Systems Engineer II, you will:

  • Document appropriate test requirements and review testing plans to determine the suitability of current test equipment.
  • Write design verification test cases, and develop and execute moderately complex test plans.
  • Conduct automated testing on moderately complex products and create testing dashboards.
  • Identify complex feature flaws using data analysis and validate features by building prototypes.
  • Provide input on project schedules and deliver hardware engineering aspects of moderately complex features or products.
  • Choose available parts and evaluate complex details of materials used in production.
  • Identify common project risks, communicate team progress, and create detailed reports for products and features.
  • Develop and deliver training, as well as document complex details.

This role requires a mix of technical skills, project management, and communication abilities. You'll be working on cutting-edge Mixed Reality technologies, contributing to the development of innovative products that blend the physical and digital worlds.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience OR
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Previous experience with Augmented Reality Systems Engineering Development
  • Willingness to obtain a TS Clearance, or candidates that possess active TS clearance and are willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph)
