Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is seeking a Technical Excellence Electrical Engineer to join their Datacenter Engineering team. This role is crucial in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers Microsoft's global cloud services.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% remote work capability across multiple hub locations including Redmond, Atlanta, Washington D.C., and Phoenix. The role combines technical expertise in electrical engineering with strategic infrastructure planning for Microsoft's expanding datacenter operations.

As a Technical Excellence Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating electrical infrastructure requirements, ensuring alignment with global datacenter standards, and collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors. The role requires deep technical knowledge in electrical engineering and datacenter operations, with a focus on design development and documentation processes.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of technical engineering experience or equivalent combination with advanced degrees. Requirements For Technical Excellence Electrical Engineer

  • 12+ years of technical engineering experience or equivalent combination with education
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer/Licensed Engineer
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the hub office location
