Microsoft AI Engineering Systems team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to help deliver innovative world-class metrics, tools, and processes that enhance engineer productivity across Consumer Copilot, Bing, Ads, Windows News Feeds, and Edge New Tab Page projects. This role focuses on engineering systems including source control, build and release pipelines, package management, and work items tracking, utilizing Azure and cutting-edge technologies like SLMs/LLMs, .Net core, React JS, and various databases.

The position offers the opportunity to solve interesting challenges in engineering systems at scale, working with large-scale distributed systems that serve billions of transactions across hundreds of thousands of servers worldwide. The team enjoys strong executive support and emphasizes product quality, working on cutting-edge technology that aims to revolutionize productivity and innovation.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll collaborate with Software Engineering teams to design technical solutions, manage risks, and implement features for cross-functional projects. The role involves coordinating across organizations, delivering on roadmaps, tracking project schedules, and driving continuous improvements through metrics and customer engagement.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% work from home flexibility in Redmond, WA. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager - Microsoft AI Engineering Systems

  • Partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions across feature areas
  • Identify risks and propose data-based mitigations
  • Define success criteria and create relationships for implementing features for complex cross-functional projects
  • Deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan
  • Drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases
  • Lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics

Requirements For Technical Program Manager - Microsoft AI Engineering Systems

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
  • 2+ years of experience in software development project management
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
