Description For Technical Support Engineer - Defender for Office

Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization is seeking a Technical Support Engineer for the Defender for Office team. This role involves owning, troubleshooting, and solving customer technical issues related to Defender for Office. The position offers opportunities for career growth, skill development in problem-solving, collaboration, and research, as well as technical proficiency enhancement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and resolving complex customer issues
  • Utilizing troubleshooting tools and performing in-depth product troubleshooting
  • Collaborating on cross-team and cross-product technical issues
  • Assisting in implementing readiness programs and mentoring new engineers
  • Providing feedback for product and process improvements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 3+ years of technical support, consulting, or IT experience (or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience)
  • Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Canadian citizenship (due to legal requirements for supporting local government agency customers)

Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Technology Certifications and API troubleshooting experience.
